After learning the excavation trade as a Seabee in the Navy, Mr. Kuhns went on to work for excavating contractors installing septic systems and doing general excavation. One of these contractors included Richard R. Schmick, Inc. where he gained valuable knowledge from some of the most seasoned installers of that time. There he learned about the proper installation techniques and repair of different systems - many outdated by today's standards but still in use by homeowner's across the Lehigh Valley.
